gday guys
headed out through the sth passage bar wednesday awesome conditions i scored some really nice pearlies biggest going 50cm and 3 others going 49,48,49. . mate got a nice snapper while floating 5.5kg. .Mullet and livies (yakkas) did the damage. . Another mate got a 7.5kg grey barred cod got some really nice fillets of him nice and white flesh!. .and got a couple of legal kingies on the jigs. The whales are definatley in full swing seen 4, 2 separate pods, breaching almost clear out of the water and the amount of spray they put off when they land is just crazy. . all in all an awesome day!!

good stuff michael - what depths u been fishing in there - sort of new to redcliffe and looking to rack up a few good fish
Have been to Deep tempest acouple of times for some fair fish - have got a 6m tabs centre console decked out

Would i be right in saying that you were fishing in Bill Cortens boat by looks of those photos??

Mmmmmmmm....been a long time freind of him and his family.He certainly knows what he is doing out there.Was my
mentor for years and had plenty of good trips with him and his son Ash.

Very nice fish. Bill certainly is a top bloke and has a wealth of knowledge, always all ears when bill speaks. learnt alot about the bar even those were just fishing trips we went on, he is just so willing to answer any q's we had and its just a great day out on the water. Can not wait for the next trip.

What depth did the Bar Cod come from?

Very unusual to find a Bar Cod in water that shallow, even a small one,

we normally pull them up out of more than 200mtrs,

anyway, nice fish & good eating,

hope we can get a few this Sunday.
