Gidday mate....I've got the Lewmar pro fish 700 freefall windlass on my 7.4mtr boat and it does a great job.Good retrieve rate and to switch from freefall to a controlled drop is only a matter of a button on the side of the windlass.I got mine from the states.

Don't go over $1000 including freight because you will have to pay import duties on top for the full amount.
Just talking to a bloke in the states now because of that reason.
Cheers Dave

Chinese winch but stronger and faster than the 700f. My mate got the same winch 6m ago after using the 700 for some years. He opted for the manual deploying one because his Merc dealer who sells them said the freefall clutch was a week point and they pay out fast. He mostly anchors in up to 25m so it's not a big deal but I like the freefall function on my 700f. If I replaced mine it would be with the Lewmar pro. Cheers
