Drum winch on seafarer victory

Has anyone put a drum winch on seafrer victory??? Anyone used the muir freefall? seems to be a few winches out there at the moment not sure which way to go! Regards Hilta

Hilta i have seen a few Victory's and Vagabonds with the Stress free in the anchor well and they fit nicely. They also have a descent anchor point for the winch inside the well. Just need a good sized roller on top and small mod to the hatch cover.

I will be doing this as funds permit.

if your fishing deep water i think free fall is a must,there are only two with the free fall feature ,muir and stress free.i have a free fall [i havnt used it yet]stress free,it looks a quality bit of gear.i dont think you could go wrong with either of them.
if you dont want free fall those x winches look pretty good imop

Yes OPTI that right, the newer stress free - free fall is a better version than the older one apparantly with better overrun control, and very well built.

The wolf winch is another very good one but I'm not sure how they fit in the well.
