edward river / pormpuraaw - looking for info

hi all, we are heading to edward river/pormpuraaw for the first time this weekend for a few days and was hoping someone might be able to share some fishing tips for the area. We will have a tinnie and were also hoping to do some freshwater barra fishing as well.

any advice would be greatfully received.

a mate of mine has been a guide at seisia for years and for his annual holiday he goes to edward river about this time every year. last year he said it was pretty slow fishing....only 50 barra a day! sorry, don't know exactly where he goes but do know he lure fishes with gold bombers and really likes leads lures. good luck!! .....jealous..
