Hi

Went offshore noosa on Saturday for a change it has been a while, crossed the bar at around first light and proceeded to head out to our marks. Justin skipalong was also out in his boat and we kept in radio contact on the way out.

Got a call up from Justin’s crew telling me to get over there as he got a 8 kilo knobbie first drop. So with little arguing I was there in a flash.

This trip consisted of blandy and ryan, second trip for ryan and starting to think he is a good luck charm as both trips he has been on have been crackers.

We scored some great snapper, also a couple of king snapper that went 7.1kg and 8.0kg also a couple of reds, as well as cobes big hussar a few parrot as well. We got a bit of video of the snapper but unfortunately none of the reds or king snapper, but hope you enjoy none the less.

The hussar where really thick here and I had one drop with the bait jig and got a full string of hussar and one moses all legal fish.

Like I have said before there is no snapper shortage and I hope this government get it right and don’t change a already well managed fishery.

Cheers pete…

Hey Pete looks like a great trip. Its handy being able to cover more area with two boats to find them, especially someone as good as Justin. I was stuck at home looking after kids all weekend with my wife away with the girls for the weekend, why is it always great weather when you can't get away.

One really good outing Pete - well done.

Not only some quatlity snapper but a couple of very respectable red emps too - the boys looks happy and have every reason too.

You had great weather too - ideal for Noosa bar.

Wayne its a panasonic 78 times zoom with a 33mm wide lens all i have done is drill a hole in the dash and put a bolt into the tripod part of the camera worked out right height and seems to do the job.

Well done Pete Great fishing and great fish. I think I might make the extra effort to tow a little bit further than Mooloolaba. Mind you crossing the bar at first light means I get to sleep in a bit more and with quality fish like that even better.
