Went through the Seaway at 6 am today - what a day on the water after last Sunday's conditions. Tried for some live bait with no luck, but probably should have tried harder. Anyway, moved on to the 24's se of Seaway only caught rubbish which we sent back. The decision was then made to move to the 36 fathom reef off Broadbeach. Set up a good drift with plenty showing on the sounder, but it was hard going. Ended up with one keeper snap (about 50cm) and one parrot fish about the same size. Sent back 3 or 4 undersize snaps of almost 35 cm. All in all - a hard day but a good day. Some live bait would have made things a lot more interesting but maybe next time. Back in the Seaway at 1.30 pm.
