Have spent 7 days on the boat this past month rewiring, a few half days and one day of rain which slowed things up with Peterbo3. He was the brains of the operation, I just TAed for him. A few before and afters shots. Like all the colour coding and numbered shrink wrap for the circuit diagrams?

Dash before.

After with the Lowrance more permanetly mounted, the 585 from the Stabicraft, new iCom 412 VHF, moved the Garmin 400c over and lowered the Yanmar guages down a tier.

Battery cables before.

After with the Blue Seas VSR, breakers, negative bus bar and battery selector switch.

And behind the dash.

And after with all of Pete's handywork. Notice the terminal block at the very top just for the NMEA connections.

Around the same time I also had the turbo reconditioned by Mr Turbos from Arundel on the Gold Coast and had Jimmy from Aquamobile Marine (Captain Rednut) redo the exhaust with a custom riser, changing the turbo from a clamp setup to a flange setup and a heap of pull-off, sand blast and replace items, especially a lot of the high pressure oil lines to the turbo and gearbox. He also made up the new intake with a silicone tube, bracket and air cleaner from Super Cheap which is heaps better than the old foam setup. You'll agree it all came up like new.

I also got the trim tabs going again and redid the plumbing for the live bait tank and deck wash with a new Jabsco Parmax 3.5.

Looks like a great job, will last the distance.

Just tone question, did you check for interference from the radio on your compass? It looks close enough to affect it. I tried mounting radios near the compass and the needle swung due to the magnets in the speakers Might be worth checking it against another compass held a bit further away.

Cheers

Looks like a very tidy job Rob, I will have to look into that Supercheap air filter as mine old foam one is pretty shot.

Cheers, Rog
