oil leak in motor

one of my work mate has a oil leak in his 50hp suzuki 4 stroke it is coming out of his carby he only notices the leak when the motor is tilted up for the drive home any one got any ideas

I think he needs a more thorough investigation. What year is the enginen and is he sure its a 4 stroke.

The only thing that comes to mind is that he is experiencing blow by through the crankcase and its being drawn into the carby area through the crank case breather/vent tube.
