I would like to fit a boat of around 4.8 m in my garage but the garage is not long enough. I was wondering if any Aussie trailer manufacturers made a trailer that you could swivel the drawbar around and maybe decrease the total length of the trailer by about 1 to 1/2m.

Depending on the drawbar design sometimes the easiest fix is to get a piece of box section that will slip neatly inside the current drawbar and mount the tow hitch to it. Shorten the outer part (old drawbar) and drill and pin the two sections together for the right towing length. Pull the pin and slide the new drawbar back inside the old drawbar for garaging.

4.8 is going to be tough to fit in to your standard 6m shed. Motor would add a fair bit in the back, winch in front a fair bit, might be doable, but be very tight!

Thanks for the info. guys it looks like I'll have to get a smaller boat or leave a larger one outside.

Measure your diagonal as well. You can get a bigger boat in on a slight diagonal in the garage.
