Hello fellow fishers
Went up to 1770 on the weekend, sunday to be exact. Fished sunday till tuesday 3pm.
Headed out wide to the bunkers and fished in 40 meters or water up to 120 meters of water. Had a crack at 250 meters as-well.
The weather was amazing, glass conditions the whole time, as you can see from one of the photos, didn't want to come home but not showering for 3 days takes its toll. Not sure if it was the fish that smelt or us.
We fished through both nights and the days, with little breaks in between of coarse.
The fish we caught in such a small area was amazing. Reds up to 7kg, pearl pearch, red throat, coral trout, cods, snapper ( also flame snapper) hassar, tusk fish, rossie job fish, parrot fish..... i think thats it. Anyway have a look at the snaps and enjoy.

I also included a photo i got off the Goldie a few weeks earlier.
Just quickly i got 3 wahoo and 2 yellowfin in 90 min with a gentlemans start.
All on my skirts with a special color i put together.

You hit the goldmine there speedy - weather and fish.

Some great fish for the cook - enjoy.

Well done too with the hoo - GC seems to be the place for hoos and macks this year.

What size rig (boat/motor) and how much fuel did you use for three days?

I recon the ground would feel like it's moving for a day after three days at sea. :)

Hey Speedy,

Great report and the fishing looks impressive.

Hope to get up there next weekend for a few days if the weather plays the game. Good to see the fish are on the chew coming into winter!

Thanks for the report

Some nice fish there speedy well done...Was up there myself and the weather was the best I had ever experienced. Just magic wasn't it.

We fished wide of the reefs in 80 mtrs of water mostly and ended up with some good fish including 17 reds to 11kg and Trout to 8kg. Perfect fishing conditions

Interested to see what boat you had as there was a couple boats fishing near us most of the weekend in the same area.

Regards,
Greg
