I've decided to put a new floor in my tinny and was thinking about also adding a bow mount trolling motor. However the bow on the Quintrex is curved which caused me to scratch my head a bit.

Is it possible to fit a mount to the front with the curve, or do I have to replace it with a flat section? If anybody has a bow mount on a curved bow and some photos they can post that would be great, any advice appreciated too.

Just put a couple of small bars under the quick release instead of mounting it flat to the bow. Should work fine. (along the sides, rather than at 90 degrees if possible, at 90 degrees the flex will be more)

I've got mine mounted on the curve but have it mounted right on the edge, so this straightens it up a bit, I also have a piece of nylon mounted under the quick release puck, the angle doesn't seem to make a difference but there is a bit of flexing of the aluminium, I thinking of doing something similar to the post below but adding a thick piece of nylon underneather to stiffen it
I can take some photos of my setup if you are interested.

I also didn't mount mine right at the nose, so i didn't have to cut the bow rails and also so it fitted in with my windscreen better, and it hasn't seem to make a difference

If you are member of Breamaster you can see what one guy did with epoxy

Just looking at the picture I thought you could drill though the curved section an use some ally tubes at differnent lenghts to achieve a level plane to bolt to a plate abit bigger then the minn kota quick release bracket that way no need to weld or you could bend up a plate that stands off the curved section and then pop rivit it on,which might be abit tricky to get exactly right

Thunderace - thanks for the pics and the Breammaster link. I think I will go the epoxy route and your photos were a great help on deciding where to place it.
