Hey Fella's

I have a couple of bf90-d honda's and was wondering if anyone has had experience with fuel flo meters, I dont want to rely on the boats fuel gauges, as we all know they can be quite in accurate. Can any brand work or would I have to stick to honda original equipment. I have a furuno 7000 can it be linked somehow to show fuel flo. Cheers Mark

I have had a Navman meter in my boat for 5 yrs now and would be lost without it. I use about 60l for a day with my 90 etec and when I refuel it is accurate to within one litre.

I,ve also had the navman one for 3 or 4 years and rely on it as well.
I cant get it down to the litre but it gives a pretty reliable induction and is generally within 5 or so percent.
It is certainly useful to figure out economy on the run.

I am close to ordering one of these for a single engine ... http://www.scubastevesinternational.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1464&products_id=38332&zenid=c4eb19777282673cf354a85ecf911919
Currently use Navman 5500 plotter which has fuel flow addition (love it!) but the plotter is showing its age and needs replacing.

Mark, I just called Floscan in Australia 02 9719-1100 to confirm which is the best model for my motor and he said NONE! He sells the things but my Yammy has 2 fuel pumps which stuffs up the readings. He said I'd be better buying one of the cheap models from Lowrance or Garmin. It's back to the drawing board for me (I don't want to buy Lowrance so will see what Garmin might have).

hey govomg

i have my 175 suzuki setup by interface cable to my lowrance system and yah at times its to much info but essentially my round trip fuel consumption is very accurate. even better is the diggi fuel gauge on the screem holds the same at rest or on the plane

if you can set this up through your honda you wont look back, check with your local honda dealer man, i'm sure they would love to help with something like this

keep us posted and good luck

cheers rod
