Hi guys

Just got back from the Easter weekend at Hervey Bay. Apart from the wind blowing a dog off its chain had a great time. Tried fishing at Round Island, Roys and even around to Gatakers without any success. Just one small tusky at Round Island and two happy moments at Gatakers.

Just wondering how you other guys went and what general area.

Thanx :'(

Spent the weekend staring at a mirror and slapping my face psyching up. Off to Fraser on Saturday for 4 nights.

No, the girl in the pic was not on the boat, just me and two lovely ladies

Might take it off shore on the weekend for a real fish

Thanks to New Boats Direct for the loan http://www.new-boats-direct.com.au

Went for a fish down the Logan River today, little windy but not too bad. Caught a couple of dirty catfish, a shark, one legal muddie from 8 pots and a 78cm Mulloway. Pretty happy overall, it was the first legal fish I've caught since I bought the boat about 6 months ago.

Nice fishing boat Ausfish,
When are you taking us all out??

Decided it would be too crazy out there so didn't wet a line over Easter.
Did some VMR duty instead though looking after all you crazies who dared to venture out.
Beautiful time out on the water just the same.

I spent Thursday till Tuesday on Coochie for no real success. Five sandies was the only catch that was brought back to the Island.

It was like a main highway on the water though there sure are alot of people with boats these days even at 03:00 there were quite a few boats out.

It didnt rain though and the wind stayed away till Sunday/Monday all in all it was a nice relaxing few days.

Seems like it was a quiet weekend for fish all round. Thanks to all for taking the time to reply

I took my daughter to Raby Bay and she caught more fish than me, which she is very happy telling everyone about. No keepers but good fun.

Already posted in Estuary, but my wife and I were out for an overnighter in the Pin. Next to no fuel used, caught school jew, spotted grunter, prawns and stayed local for a great two days, then caught another 7kg of prawns with my brother Yesterday at the mouth of the Logan.

My fishing exploits seldom get better than that, which includes offshore!! I liked the simplicity of my Easter weekend.

I went for a fish Monday night with timddo and his son in the brizzy river, we fished from about 8pm-3am. Tim hooked one decent threadfin but we were anchored next to a crab pot and guess where the thready went. Me and tim's son had a laugh when tim threw the castnet over a school of scat's and got spiked by one of them.

cheers tim :)
