Yamaha 350 V8

Hey fellow boaties just chasing some info/feedback on the V8 350 yamaha. i have a 28ft plate alloy and currently run the 250 susuki but want to upgrade?

Its a bloody heavy, thirsty, and expensive motor bud. a mate was looking at getting one for his patriot a couple years back, but the price the dealer gave him was ridiculous, something around the 45K mark. He ended up going with a 300 suzi at about 30k, goes great guns pushing the 680 patriot, get a tad over 50knts WOT and cruises about 30knts at 4200rpm, gets about 1.4km to the litre loaded to the hilt (5 blokes, plus gear, 400L esky loaded with ice brine and fish). I'd be looking at either the 300V6 yam, or the 300 suzi before seriously considering the ultra heavy 350 yam.
