Highlight was 85 year old Ed getting a Sailfish. We busted one off next attempt when it figure 8ed over the main line in its first series of jumps and cut itself off.

Good to see you were able to make the most of the break in the weather Rob and looks like some happy punters as usual.

Nice effort Smithy!

I had a couple of days off and fished around the Cape for a change. Had a good time in the great conditions, and brought enough fish home for a couple of feeds. Went for a couple of swims and saw a fair few Spaniards, but couldn't catch one to save myself. I'm out of form big time!

cheers.

Jono.

Pete,

I think that is the second one we've caught on charter in 3.5 years. I wouldn't say common. Hervey Bay/Bundy seems to have better concentrations of them if you are chasing one. Were chasing AJs/Kings when it popped up and the fight was similar.

I can't believe the Stabi hasn't sold either when you look at the new prices and my motor is only 13months old but the hours probably put people off yet it is in and has to be turn key every day of the year.

Picked it yesterday from Mark Kitchen. You may know him from the drag racing scene. His brother Steve and him were more into bikes though. Calls himself Mr Turbo and deals in the Billet Turbos. Does a lot of the drag and high performance ones. At Gaven. Got some awesome Youtubes, like a pretty stock standard looking old Corrolla that did the quarter in 8secs for 175mph.
