Weather was too good to do anything but fish! Even the Shingles was flat (should be called the B**** awfuls actually)
Spent a few hours trolling surface and deep bibbed lures around the Sevens and inshore for no luck. There were some good schools of bait in random places but they were all at 11 metres plus. Even the "Crazy Deep" Halco over them couldn't entice any action. The sea glassed out by lunch time.
Wasn't on the plan but bottom bashed on the way home for some Squire and Spangled Emperor on mushy Pilchards which lasted about 5 seconds in the water.
On the run in tide with only a 1 metre swell offshore and no wind the "Shingles" still managed to be really nasty with short steep random chop. I think the swell bounces backwards and forwards between Moreton and the bar and makes that area really ugly.
