Hey Guys,

Headed out yesterday out of the Tweed chaseing a Blue after the bad weather the past few days. Got one hit early which we didnt see then hooked up at 1.20 and tagged her at 2:05 on 24kg. Water was 27.1 deg and 1.5 knots of current. Hopefully will head out during the week if possible.

Nice fish mate. You did well on 24kg. Every Blue I've hooked on 24kg busted me off.

I run Hollow Points, Meridians and Black snacks. The Blue actually came in on the long side and smashed the teasers and tore it off the side of the boat then doubbled back and came out of the water and swallowed the short corner, was one of the best strikes i have seen. the only bad thing is im up for new teasers now, but it was well worth it thats for sure.

we were into the sun and down current. Every Fish is different so i wouldnt think to much into eat. To be honest i think they will eat anything if you drive over a hungry one hahaha. just the hard thing is finding a hungry one.

been a very good run of Blues down here too, some very good fish caught during a couple of local comps last weekend, they must be right along the coast right now! is a Blue a common capture this time of the year?

Blues are pretty much all year round but the numbers are normally around this time of year. Has Been a ok season this year for the gold coast but not as good as the boys down south, but most local boats are averageing a shot per day, with some boats tagging sometimes up 6 a day:o . In saying that we headed out yesterday for No shots :'( but got a Hoo on the way home. Water temp was cold and there was weed out there :-? . Will give it another crack over the weekend tho;D , I cant wait to be out there the day they go crazy and we tag more then just one or two.
