Ok.

My engine seems to have ruff idling at low revs and i belive it's the carbs ( i have never emptied the carb bowls or every touched it ( expect to play witha few screws).

Now , how hard is it to give it a clean and what do i need. As in parts, tools

Or is it expensive to get it done at the mechanics -$$$$$.

Does anyone have pictures of how to do it. Step by step would be great.

forgot motor is 2008 115 yamaha 2 stroke.

Yamaha carbies are easy to do, but they must be done properly, they have itsy bitsy holes that need to be thoroughly cleaned out, just pulling them to bits and washing them, or spraying with some miracle carby fixer in a can will just be a waste of time, buy a genuine manual, get some carby kits and go for it. I would reckon a dealer would charge (guessing) 2 hours labour at around 80-90 per hour, plus parts, that you need to buy anyway.

If you have good filtration installed I doubt you will need the carbies cleaned. Most likely they need adjusting as some don't come with the best setup from the factory. You could have a crack at it but if you dont have a good ear for tuning 2 strokes you will struggle.. finding someone who has and you can trust maybe your biggest hurdle.
