Blue Eye Cod off Mooloolaba??

Went to a restaurant & they were serving Blue Eye Cod & told me it was caught off Mooloolaba. Not saying they were wrong, but I have never heard of them off Mooloolaba. Does anyone know if they are can be caught there? I was always under the impression they were a deep water species.

blue eye trevella are caught off mooloolaba in 350m plus. There is deep water off mooloolaba you need to keep driving east

How far out do you need to go to reach that depth?

About 30 NM gets you into that sort of depth. Its a long way in a small boat

if you go 28mile straight out you will be in 300m. luke
