Hi
These maybe the go,I have been thinking of getting one or making on up,at the moment I use a Tropical 105 ltr and cut the macs and fold them to fit. These would be a great space saver.

Probably digressing from the original post a little, and more of a reply to Adrian than anything else, as I have thought about the fish bags also, but not sure just how practical they would be.

Sure they roll up neat and don't take much space, but you still need to carry the ice somehow, so do you take an esky full of ice then transfer it into the bag when you catch a fish, or do you just take the bag in the boat full of ice?
If you are taking an esky full of ice, then it is more space you are losing by having both on the deck (after you have caught a fish), but if you use the bag only then you lose the "secondary uses" that come with an esky - seat / baitboard / somewhere to stand and cast etc.
If anything, they probably have a place as an 'emergency' esky, if you catch something bigger than your esky and need to preserve it whole for whatever reason - weigh in / taxidermy etc. However, it is pretty hard to justify having $250 rolled up in your boat for 99.9% of the time.

IMO, the best option is to buy the most suitable esky you can.

Scott.

Scott the way I use the fish bag is that not all my fish are 1.8mtrs long (i wish) so to leave a 1.8mtr esky in the boat uses too much room, where as the bag sits in the side pocket. as for is I use a little 100l esky and always have some extra ice. I just share the ice.
