Looking at possibly buying a 27ft noosa cat. Don't know much about them but a lot of reports say they are pretty good. Any current or past feedback would be appreciated.. Inlike.......:-?

A mate has recently had a 3100 built fitted out with 2 220hp volvos. Finish of the boat is of a very high standard. Ride is awsome as you would expect. BUT One engine shat itself at around 16 hrs due to a piston picking up on the liner, nothing to do with NC build quality. Came down to sh.t house bad luck. Engine was replaced. Next trip he headed out 50 mile or so went to move to a new spot. Started one engine went to start the second no go, starter motor was clicking like the baterry was flat. Smoke started pooring out from under the engine covers.Isolated the batteries and removed the engine cover to find a mass of melted wiring. Leads had rubbed through on the engine that had not been rerplaced. High potential to burn a 350k boat to the ground due to poor work man ship ??? when the engine/wiring was installed. 7 hr trip home. Not a happy man.
