Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could answer a question relating to a problem i am having with my start on a 89 mercury 90hp.
The drive looks essentially like this one.
Is the hexagonal head that has the thread meant to spin independently of the part that contacts the flywheel?
The problem i am having is that the when go to turn the engine on, the armature spins, but it doesn't turn the drive. The drive goes up and down and connects with the flywheel, but just wont spin.
I can see the armature spinning in the centre, but cant why the that force isnt being transmitted into spinning the drive.
Any suggestions??
