Went out with a mate both weekend mornings pre-dawn to the blinker and trolled for a few hours each day for zip. Sat then went up to Mudjumba island and trolled a current line for zip as well - got some mack tuna only on cast lures. Sunday used dead baits trolled on down rigger and on surface at Gneerings and Murphies for zip zero.
Both days gave up in close trolling after 4 hours of nothing then went to outer reef and got a good feed of RTE.
Both days checked by patrol boys - once at ramp and once at river mouth. Friendly enough and thorough.
Weather was great.
Would have loved to have gotten a pelalgic - were they mainly south of the river??
