Had a quiet day at the Sevens trolling Gold bibbed Hard-bodies at 7 and 3 metres at about 6 knots. Bar was choppy on the run out tide. Weather was good outside just an oily swell which needed a quick dose of Trava-calm. Didn't see any bait or birds all day.
Only two hits. A Frigate tuna on the 7 metre and a 60 cm Yellow fin on the 2 metre. The Yellow Fin was feeding on tiny leather jackets. I am not sure they would even show up on my sounder.
Got checked in the Rous by Boating Patrol for Snapper and safety gear on my way home.
Much better day than last weekend when I lost my skimmer transducer to the textile bags by the Raby Bay ramp.
