I've been looking at the wiring so I know what to tape up in an emergency, but there is one thing I can't figure out. Two wires run from isolator switch (not including the engine) and both a fused, I know one is the house circuit but the other is a mystery, I pulled to fuse out to see what would happen and every thing still works.
So any ideas what this second circuit could be?

Bilge pump??
The possibilities are endless.
What electrics are in your boat, what boat is it and what motor etc is it??
Easiest way is to follow it to see where it goes.

If you think there is a need to tape something in an emergency then it might be time to consider a complete rewire.
I hate living in fear.....especially if I'm on the water 18km off shore

I tried the Bilge pump, the manual switch anyway.
Unless the float switch controlled part has it's own fuse.

You really need to follow the cable to be sure. You may even find it goes nowhere?
I have seen that before.
