Hi all,
Hoping some bar crusher gurus can tell me how a 560c would go with a 135 honda.
They weigh about 30kg more than the popular Yam 115 choice.
Cheers

Theyre rated for engines between 115 -150HP so cant see a probem.Though if you were thinking 150 4stroke the extra weight may be a problem and youd be wise to run it past your insurance company first.
Enjoy

Hay Bwald .... had a 150 Honda on a 6.5metre JBS .... similar boat and weight size to what your looking at ...

Both the 135 and 150 Honda are the same weight and spec but rechipped and at 219 Ks not the lightest thing about. They are an excellent engine when propped correctly for what ever your particular situation.

However, given the Suzi 140 is just about the same engine, a little lighter, cheaper and also comes with a prop (Honda's don't), you'd have to give them a real close look these days as an alternative! .... Cheers

Thanks guys,
Looking at a 2nd hand one, so eliminates the Suzuki option. I guess one knows it will have enough power and the economy will be OK and Honda do make a good product, so I am only concerned weather the extra weight will produce any handling quirks.

woops just notice yours is a 5.6 not a 6.5m boat ! .... ;)

Realy got me sucked in so I've just had a sniff at the specs on the barcrusher web site ... they recommend the range 115 - 150 HP for the 560C ... so you should be fine! ....;)

135 Honda would go really well on your boat
Its rated for it, and the weight will not be an issue
Dont believe anyone could compare a suzuki 140 with a honda 135
The Honda is bigger displacement, which will give you more torque, more thrust and ultimately better fuel economy and all round performance
Wont corrode as fast either

we have a 150 etec on the back of ours does way as much as the 115 yamaha but to be honest these boats already sit front heavy the extra 20 kgs wont hurt it at all.

Mate, I have the 135hp Honda on my Formosa Tomahawk 580 and can't fault it. Whatever she may lose to the Yamaha and Suzuki in weight, she well and truly makes up in fuel economy, noise and quality. Don't hesitate over 20-30kg for the sake of the Honda.

i had BC 560 with 130 Honda and i just love it .
It was very economical .
Power and speed was there as soon as you push the throttle
not much top speed deference to 115 Yamaha but u get it in 5 second top speed with 130 Honda
i did trip to Fitzroy reef and did use 150l for 230klm in pretty ordinary weather

I can tall you i always wont to put new 135 Honda as was much less kilograms and more power as none outboards out there in class
