Cant see them catching on, the weight would be astronomical not to mention the price when compared to inboard diesel's.

And there's 2 of these things hangin' off the back of the boat?

Many off the big yank tank boats have been rated to 1100-1200 hp, like Grady white, Boston Whaler, Contender etc. have a look at their website, many around the 30-35ft range have got 3 dirty great big yam 350's hanging off the back

Lol, that's just AWESOME!

Have a couple hangin' off the back of a Rivvie, think of all the fuel space you'd have left after removing the diesels?

And how much fuel do they use? WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!! %^$& the Greenies!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!

Cheers,

Tim

Say.... instead of banning two stroke motors, how about they ban any outboard over 250Hp.

On decent trip with that 560Hp lump would do more environmental damage than a lifetimes use of small two strokes.

cheers

Wouldn't that depend upon the boat?
This is not going to like some couple of 90hp 2 strokes

What about a lot of the VMR and rescue boats?? They like 300hp Suzuki's on them

Hell yeh, would love to see something like that on the back of my boat. Is it based on the merc Verado?

Plenty of room for cast netting prawns in that boat......I think it would sit near vertical in the water though.

It's an alloy GM V8 from memory. Nothing to do with the Verado.
