Yeah, I use one of these.

I use it to secure my Minn Kota, Environet, esky etc if I leave it inside the boat overnight. They have a red flashing light, so if anyone has a squizz inside the boat at night, they know straight away they have an alarm to deal with.

I wouldn't rate them as providing outstanding physical security but I reckon they are a good deterrent to help stop opportunist theft.

Got mine from Battery World for about $40.
