hey guys,

I want to paint my boat to clean it up abit and painted boats always look 40 billion times better. I have been looking at alot of boats and most of them form to a point where the bow meets and the rest is unpainted... ( example picture posted. ).

On my boat i dont have the point up the front. Wondering if anyone has any pictures of similar styled boats and how they came up painted? seems like it will show to much galv in my opinion. so seeing how mine is shapped i would only do the sides and the top of the bow. I am not painting the inside of the boat.

Then the next obvious question is colors?. I was thinking white but maybe i should go for something different.

example..

My tinny.

I did mine white but I did not paint the gunnel.
The gunnel cops a fair floggin' and the paints only gunna come off anyways.

Inside is painted grey to reduce the glare

Gunnel that's the word I was chasing. I wouldn't end up paint it either as it would come off rather quickly.

And then you can call it the brown floater ::)

But seriously I did think of covering the boat with a commercial wood grained vinyl that used in the signwriting industry and was going to call the tiny tinny "Big Woody"

Have a look at some of these vinyl's
