that looks to be quite a fair way up near Petrie is it? or is it in the south pine mate? would it be totally covered in a big tide? I wouldn't want to find that one night heading up the creek full noise:-?

nah its down near dohles rocks boat ramp
its out of the way and no where near the chanel markers
as someone said been there since the flood and hasnt moved since

I am pretty sure I saw a local newspaper article about this recently and it is supposed to have been reported stolen a long time back and suspected was used in a hold up or some crime and then dumped. Probably pushed into the river or creek somewhere and with all the flood flow in the Pine, it has been pushed down stream and thats where she settled.

Not sure why local gov or whoever is responsible hasn't moved it or something. Should be easy enough at low tide.

By the way have all the channel markers in the Pine from Smout bridge to up past the Pine bridge (Hwy) as I think they all were damaged during the flood.

There's also been a great "BIG" hammer near the highway bridge? Not sure if it's still there but what the??

That was an entry into the Guiness Book of Records. Sorry do not know how it went. Old mate was also using it for a bit of free advertising.
