6hp mercury 2007

Hi all, Just got new tinny with 07 6hp mercury outboard and trailer and im not to pleased with my motor as it dose not seem to be able to put me and my boat on the plane. i have heared that you are able to put a 9.9hp carb on it. the boats a stacer 3.8 kipper with casting deck(quite heavy) so i need more power.

nope, the carby swap has been tossed around for years, you will just end up with a poor performing, rich running 6HP, buy a 9.9 or a 15 and be done with it.

That is after you get your boat license ;)
