Gidday all.
Further to a previous discussion (in another thread) about how boats react to applying power whilst getting to the plane I was wondering how a boat is supposed to be set up to achieve the best performance where hole-shot is concerned?
Are boats supposed to aim for the stars when maximum power is applied to a quick holeshot or is a level hull whilst getting on the plane the go?? An example would be pulling a skier out of the water or a boat crossing a bar.
What's the best way to get a boat from a standing start to planing to going flat maggots in the shortest distance and period of time?
Personally I would have imagined a level hull would have less drag and a better chance of better performance but I have been known to be wrong before.
What's normal?? The top video or the bottom video?
