what is a 150 hp 99 mod merc worth

it is a carb model low transam mount ,has 250 to 300 hrs use all comps 130 psi it goes well ...... wont to upgrade to a new 175 optimax merc

AFAIK Opti's are all direct injection no carbs. Basically its worth what people are prepared to pay, if it was in good condition I would say about 5k.

IMHO your boat will be overpowered with a 175 and it will drink fuel, the 150 on mine is a bit of overkill not too many chances for me to do 80km/h

a mate of mine has a 2005 140 saltwater merc with 150hrs on it and was offered 5k trade in, so...... dont know alot less than you should get

I got 4.2 for an '85 115 hp yami off ebay last year. Thats top dollar so it can depend on how you sell it.
Trade in will be low as they like to sell them at a profit and have to provide some sort of warranty. If you provide a mechanics report and get two people who want it then ebay can be tops.

Webster says 250 but mine has 200 on the plate. Also thats 200 old timey horsepower. The 150 I have would be around a 185hp in old timey horsepower and it gets up and goes.

so how is the boat going with the new motor i bet u like the ride on the water i dont think i would ever sell mine .
