I am going to be putting a new trailer under the Reef Ranger in the next few months and am pondering my options.
It has to be good for at least 10 years without rusting to bits under the boat or falling apart on long trips.
It has to be single axle for a couple of reasons mainly a tandem is a pain to manoeuvre and it will rip the lawn up and lead to my being single again.
I have looked at Dunbier and Mackay who both do HD single axles that can handle the weight.

Any other manufacturers I should look at?

All up around the 14 or 1500kg mark

Its on a 30 year old Tinka trailer which still looks good but it needs a new axle with modern brakes and wheels and new rollers and I dont see the point of sinking 1500 to 2k into a 30 year old trailer.
Ok added this to the list allthough its borderline

Give Active Fabrications a call.
A new axle and brake set-up may be cheaper then you think especially if you can fit it yourself.

I've got two thirty year or thereabouts trailers and neither of them are showing any signs of rust. Its makes me wonder what happened in the industry when you see well known trailers with rust after only a few years.
One of the reasons why people are going for bolted alloy. Also heard of people specifying double dipped gal.
If the frame is still good a refurb would be my inclination or at least worth a costing.
