Hi all, I have caught and cooked red claw a number of times. However I am wanting to know how long you can either keep them in the fridge for before cooking or even frozen before their taste goes off. Basically I'm going to get some on a Sunday and want to cook them Tues night for a gathering.

shouldn't be too much of a problem for you, have frozen them whole for a few days and have frozen just the tails, cleaned, both ways held up OK but the cleaned tails were better on the plate
have never left them frozen for more than a week, so 'how long they last', don't know
why don't you just keep them alive, don't need much to keep red claw, that way their about as fresh as you can get?

I've also had them frozen longer than that too, so no problem
