Bli Bli barra park

Anyone know if the Barra park at Bli Bli is still open,want to take the kids there for a day out. If so hows the fishing,

I was up that way last Sunday....didn't go in... but there seemd to be a couple of blokes casting....didn't seem to have been any flooding or such that would have been a problem up there.

I was up there late last year for a comp they had and it was great. I suggest you take some livies as they work better than the pellets.
Use the hooks they give you for the pellets, they are very small but get the barra in the corner of the mouth everytime and so less chance of breaking off.
Fish lite, I was using 6lb braid and had a ball, they don't run like a wild barra and were are they going to go so fish lite, take your time and have fun.
You can't buy or keep your catch anymore due to some health issue.

Pellets work great.. All you need is a size 10 gamakatsu octopus hook and 6lb leader. Use that combo and you will out fish all around you.
