Hi, I am crashing my hubby's ausfish account to do a bit of research for him. Basically we put a deposit on a boat which seems to be going pear shaped and the way it is being handled for the amount of money we are stretching to pay for it is not filling us with alot of confidence so I am wondering if we should cancel and find something else.

Looking for a fibreglass half cab 5.7 - 6.2mtrs long price range max $58k. From a female point of view it has to look nice and the cab comfortable enough for young kiddies as we extend the family in the future. But for hubby it needs to ride well offshore underway but be stable at rest.

Would possibly consider plate aluminium options as well but I think for what we are after they are some where up to the $65 - 70k mark.

Any help much appreciated!!

Hey Jason,

The Lewis 590 uses a 24 degree deep v hull. A Haines Hunter for instance is around 20 degrees approximately.

The 590 is a great sea going hull.

Shiteloads of boats in that price range with what your after. I would look at a pre loved Cruisecraft Outsider. Make sure you go a half cab, especially with kiddies. A cuddy will not cut it, I dont think. Any Haines will also suffice, you may even get a great 680 Encore for that price, fully optioned with topilet , sink etc etc.

I am thinking of upgrading my 2008 Edencraft 565 and your on around the right money. Has everything in it ,looks great, rides great and is one of the best built boats out there. PM if interested.
