I'm buying a Minn Kota for the front of my runabout (with windscreen), below there are two option for mounting,
The second one allows me to keep both bow rails and it is also easier to release (as it's less distance to learn over) obviously this method will put the motor a bit further off centre, is this a issue ?????,

Thanks

I would think option two .. I am a novice though. AT least with option two you can still use the anchor with ease.

It is best to keep it as close to the centreline of the boat as possible however position 2 shouldn't be a problem and looks like the easiest option for you. If you aren't welding a plate on make sure you re-enforce the area where you are mounting the electric.
