View Full Version : Barramundi - Question on regs.
During the current closed season on Barramundi, its my understanding that one barramundi can still be kept, if caught from a fresh water dam?? I wanted to know where the lines are drawn when a dam is overflowing and dammed barra are swimming in the same flood water as wild / tidal barra?
Once a freshwater barramundi leaves the confines of a dam is it classified a wild barramundi? Even if it returns to the dam? Can a fresh water barra be kept if it is caught in flood water or in tidal water outside the dam walls?

Once it is downstream of the wall it is deemed to be wild ....... so all regs apply (closed season)
