This motor has being advertised as a 2004 model its 1994 by the looks of it i told him to correct it before he causes dramas.

You would be a dissapointed buyer if you didnt know your'e motors!

After all it is only fleabay and the golden rule is buyer beware !.

Funny thing would be to buy it with Pittypal and then make claim that the item is not as desrcibed and negotiate a partial refund.

I purchased my boat from e bay i wish i had not the boats good the engine was stuuffed he sold it to me as if it was in great condition lol yes buyer be very aware

gotta disagree, bought my stacer bass with a 30 yammie 3 cyl for a bargain. if you do your homework ebay can be a goldmine imho;)

And i disagree that ebay is full of knackered stuff ive bought heaps of great items off there for a great price love the ol fleabay!!

Heres a pic of 99 mod 40hp same looking motor as a 70hp.

Just sad to think people are buying motors thinking they are newer that what they really are but like anything you should do your research ;)

Can only think that when they bought the motor the previous owner told them that the motor was that year model, they may have been caught out and lots of novice buyer sellers of all things boats out there.

I scored my 2000 mod 70HP yamaha with 200hrs for $2700 off ebay guy was trying to sell his crap boat with good motor i convinced him to sell me the motor, many happy days on the water since with the 70 Yamaha uses very little fuel. Alway been a fan of the Yammi 70HP light weight donk
