just wondering what would be the best method for putting yabbies on a hook?

Mate,
Staright through the tail so its head and nippers hang down.

Another little trick (but don't tell any one) is to take the nippers off and squash the head so it has a little burly trail of mush constantly flowing from the bait.

Works a treat! Just very slowly roll them up the tree faces, jig them, bob them, sit them...Etc! Matt Hansen

thanks for that matt.i wasn't sure if i needed the hook facing up or down or if the line needed to be ties onto the tail some how?will try what you said and ill hopfully catch a few

Or you can feed them onto the hook like you would a prawn so the barb is poking out from the bottom below the head. A long shank hook helps them fit on better.
