Just returned from trip to the 4 beacons and upon retrieving boat noticed split in the aluminum up front about 8 inches long
No sign of hitting anything but was a bit choppy as the weather closed in
Boat is aprox 8 years old
Is this common for this to happen especially in this position
The split is not on the weld but the flat surface itself
So I will need somebody to do repairs soon
It’s ruined my short Christmas break
Anybody can recommend somebody on north side would appreciated

Try performance plate boats at brendale. I'm not sure if he does that sort of thing but it's worth a shot.

Paulp,

Not a good start to your break. Pressed aluminium, not as strong a plate and the Telwater group don't generally have a good wrap on this forum.

I would try one of the plate boat builders, depending on where you are:

Origin - Clontarf
Performance Plate Boats - Brendale
Fisher - Caboolture

Good Luck, hope you can get it fixed and back on the water this week.
