Engine Mounted Trolling Motor

Has anyone had any experience with engine mounted electrics such as the MinnKota Riptide 55/EM? My boat does not lend itself to a bow mount and I think the use of an electric would be benificial to my shallow water fishing and even correcting drift lines etc

they have been around for years, but for some reason never really took off, don't know why, maybe because if you are in shallow water, you still have to have the "big" motor down, and it will hit the bottom?

That a great local price. The units are only about half that in the US but the shipping is very high due to the weight
