Does anyone own one of these and your thoughts on them good or bad. A workmate is interested in the Torqeedo Travel 1003 model for a tender.

Your thoughts appreciated.

I don't own one but as far as electrics go they are the ducks guts. Not sure about your mates idea as a motor for a tender though, unless there are reasons he wants an electric I recon there are better options. Look into their saltwater protection as well, the few I see are used in the fresh.

Mike whatever his intentions are that's his business. All he asked me to do was find out whether they are reliable and worth the coin.

Thanks for your reply.

Reliable? -- yes
Worth the coin?
If used in a waterway where petrol outboards are banned -- compaired to other electrics --- A big yes
If used where petrol outboards are permitted -- A big no (IMO)
