Are you sure yours havent sagged a bit-generally they are a pretty standard size?

How close are they to the length you have now??
You could go a smidge longer in the spring length so the hanger is vertical when the weight is on them.
I know Active Fabrications do mail order.

Not sure where you are but Mayne Springs in Bowen Hills will make up any size any shape and they are relatively cheap.

I had extra leafs made and put in the springs on my camper so that I could carry a heavier load and they did a great job. After that a mate had a spring like yours made after he broke one (accident) and couldn't get the right length anywhere.

He thought he was going to have to change the spring hangers and mudguard clearance to suit the available spring length but by getting one custom made he saved all that work.

i just measured the shackle its 90mm end to end and the spring is roughly 750mm eye to eye what if i could find a shackle 110mm and used 710mm eye to eye springs would that work still keeping roughly a good forward degree on the shackle?

Personally I'd like to see the hanger angle going the other way ie tilting towards the rear of the trailer.
That is so the spring may not 'lock itself' if the shackle swings too far forward for some reason.

What's other people's opinions on that??

The best idea would be to get some chalk on onto the shed floor or driveway and draw some lines and angles to come up with a good length of spring and shackle.

Which direction is the 30 degrees?? Towards the front or rear of the trailer??

Every shed needs chalk ;D

Try Marshalls Engineering , they are in Bacchus Marsh Victoria , 03 53672599
long way away i know but freight not alot from this mob , your other option is to cut the front hanger , place the spring into the rear shackle , set the angle of the dangle then reweld the front hanger into position , Dean Marshall will give you the advise you need

A good blacksmith would help you out there in no time. I used to go to one a lot to get my stonework tools retempered and sharpened. What a skill and facinating to watch. Could bend ,cut and temper a spring with ease. Any blacksmiths in your area?

Get another dumb jack and replace the rear one and get standard springs or replace the front hanger. To get special springs will be way dearer than standard springs so fix what you have so they are standard.
