Everybody must be sick of hearing about trailers by now,

I have a boat latch set-up, I get it to work but it is a bit tricky,
The bow always sits just to starboard

The boat always sits at a slight angle, not perfectly in the center
(The trailer is a Dunbier rollamatic series)
(the boat is an Allison Arafura 4.95 side console)

I do get the boat on and off single handed but the boat never sits straight,
Even when the boat is winched on with the strap,

I have ran the ruler around the trailer to check the accuracy of the roller positions and all appear OK?

Before I start adjusting, thought I'd better ask the forum for a second opinion,

I'm unsure whether to raise the rollers on the starboard side or to move them inboard to push the bow to starboard? (Or Both?)
Regards,
Gary

Some pictures will help Gary.
The more the better.

Have you run a string-line or straight-edge down the keel of the boat?

Do side consoles ever line up straight with weight on one side?

Can you fit a "wedge" on the winch post so it lines it up in the last few inches?

Hi, I am finding the drive on fairly straight, If the wind is pushing me around a bit I just walk to one side and it behaves it self,

Would be nice to get a video of the approach actually as it appears the last rollers are out but I may be wrong,

As for the side console, once it has "settled", I been checking by standing in the middle before the last "squirt", looks ok

G'day Gary,

Is the consol on the starboard side? If so it is a weight balance problem. This is not about you.

In my 6M plate boat my 70kg mass makes the boat lean over as I approach the trailer. If I let the hull engage and just drive on it lays the way it engaged. If I let it rest against the rollers at idle FWD and walk to port it straightens and engages the rollers and then it's a straight drive on. There is a bit more to this if wind and current are playing against you but that is just steering adjustment.

Don't muck around with the trailer until you have exhausted technique.

PM me if you want a hand to sus it out. I'm in Scarborough.

My boat did the same, and I installed a single self centring roller at the back and that cured it by forcing the hull to sit central on the rollers

That has given me something to work on,
Much appreciated!

Edit: Yes the console is on the starboard side
