full length outboard pod cruise craft reef ranger

has anybody owned or been in a cruise craft reef ranger 18 that has been modified with a full length outboard pod fitted and if so was it all worth all the work

I have seen one and the owner seems happy with it, they built the transom up to full height and cut out the engine well so the cockpit is much bigger. In fact they removed the top of the boat and turned it into a Centre Console. He owns Sarina Upholsterers.
The guy that's doing my transom makes pods and has done a few no idea of cost or what difference it makes.
