Yes it will be an interesting time ahead, spent a couple of hours today sitting on the back deck (my place backs onto the river) watching the flood water roar past, with it was large trees, building materials, car tyres, a wardrobe:o all heading straight for moreton bay, be very careful guys.

something we have not seen in quite a while.

I remember seing the river in flood in the eighties......heaps of stuff running down the city reach of the river.

I've seen a picture where there was so much water hyacinth washed down it too the ferries over 1/2 an hour to get across the river.

use a bit of caution up the caboolture river too if you're inclined to go on after dark trips. there was a yacht on it's side and underwater up at the beachmere road end of riversleigh drive with the mast poking out into the river, dunno if it's been moved or refloated yet.
