Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading to a Seaswirl Striper 1851WA and was wondering what people thought of these. I only really fish with 1-2 people onboard.

Was looking at a boat that had a large enough cabin to sleep confortably for 1-2 nights.

Given all the good experiences off this site I am looking at importing one and was looking at purchasing new (if the price is right). Was thinking of going a 175 verado.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

P.S.
Anyone looking for a 2007 4.8m Galeforce with a 75 etec?????

Cheers
Ben

I think an 18' boat and sleeping two adults comfortably do not go together, you may sleep 2 adults, but comfort is not high on the list (well I reckon anyway) Seaswirl boats are of a reasonably high quality, pretty hard to find many out here to look at though.

I had one of those..plenty of room i nthe cabin for 2..even has sink and stove in there.

I was more than happy with the boat..prefect for 2 people..3 is ok to fish out of..4 is too cramped.

I had a 150hp 2 stroke on the back and it moved it along with no dramas...standard fuel tank is 230l so plenty of range with it.

There is a Bargain 2101 striper on Seatriper.com forums in the classifieds section. Alaska package, 4 stroke, low hours 2007 model. Going for 30k on the west coast too!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback

Noelm, I know what you mean about comfort, may have to look at a 21footer

Pinhead, thanks for the first hand experience just need to way up the cost to the benifits of going bigger.

Also
Does anyone know the NSW rules for towing a 2.6m boat, I live in Brisbane but am thinking of the occasional holiday to bermagui and I can't find these regs. QLD and VIC are redily available

cheers

You need a permit to tow anything wider than 2.5 mts, its more restrictive in NSW as to times and days you can tow .

Hi All,

Thanks for the details, Matt that link was really good, heaps of detail.

Just have to work out what size boat to go for.

Bigger is always better as they say

cheers
