Engine Hours & Idle

Quite simply do they count ? Or is it only while the engine is in gear. My suzi manual doesn't say. Cheers

As long as the ignition is switched on it adds on time, the engine doesn't need to be running or in gear, Cheers

I would have thought that if you had a ECM then it would be any hours that the engine runs and if you just have a hour gauge it is any hours that the ignition is on not necessarily the engine running

I cant quote for other motors but Etec's record EMM hours and Engine run hours seperately.

Suzuki 4 stroke will only record hours on ECM while engine is running
